Doris J. Litten

Doris J. Litten, 85, a resident of Dayspring Personal Care Home, (Forest) RD Morrisdale, and formerly of Philipsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 2, 2023.

Doris was born on December 8, 1937, in Winburne, a daughter of the late Orvis L. and Leona A. (Shedlock) Flegal.

Doris graduated from the former Morris Township High School in 1956.

Early in her working career, she was employed at the former (North) Philipsburg General Cigar plant and then in the custodial services department at Penn State. Later in her career, she was employed as a receptionist for H&R Block at their Huntingdon and Bellefonte branch offices.

Doris was a dedicated member of the First Church of Christ, RD Philipsburg; and a member of the Edith Shimmel Missionary Society at the church.

Doris was married on February 23, 1960, in Winburne, to Harry R. Litten, who preceded her in death on November 8, 2013.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Kathy Billotte and her husband, Greg, of Frenchville and Karen Hunter and her husband, Eric, of Harrisburg; a son, Robert Litten and his wife, Carol, of Bellefonte; five grandchildren: Stacey Miller and her husband, Seth; Chris Litten and his wife, Michele; Kalee Billotte and her fiancé, Gage Wilsoncroft; Cody Billotte and Ian Hunter; five great-grandchildren: Madyson “Mady” Miller, Sarah Litten, Camryn Miller, Grayson Litten and Riddyk Wilsoncroft; two sisters, Kathleen Rusnak, of Hawk Run and Debra Daniel, of Enola; and numerous other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 11 am, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with Pastor Ryan Parish, officiating.

The visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 5 to 8pm; and on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service.

Burial will be in Allport Cemetery.
