Mark Allen Lauterbock
Mark Allen Lauterbock, 55 of Port St. Lucie, FL and formerly of Philipsburg, PA died on December 29, 2013 at his residence in Florida.
He was the son of the late Ernest Lauterbock and Joanna McGrath, who survives, of Philipsburg. He was born on September 18, 1958 in Philipsburg, PA. Also surviving is his long time companion, Robert Peer, of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Mr. Lauterbock was a protestant by faith and had served for four years in the Navy. he enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, hiking and backpacking. Mark also loved cooking and gardening.
He was a Civil Engineer with the Federal Government until retiring. He was a 1976 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School and a 1986 graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology with a bachelors degree in Ocean Engineering.
In addition to his mother and companion, Mark is survived by: a sister, Nancy Twoey & her husband Bill of Philipsburg, PA; a brother Wayne Lauterbock & his wife Liz of Eustis, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Philipsburg, PA, with Rev. Mark Thumma officiating. A luncheon will follow the services at church.
There will be no public visitation.
