Agnes V. Kolosky

 

Agnes V. Kolosky, 83 of Cleveland OH passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Barbara F. (Rusnak) Vavreck, born on November 29, 1928.  Agnes is survived, at home by her beloved husband of 59 years, Stephen J. Kolosky, whom she wed on July, 18.1953.

Mrs. Kolosky was a member of Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Cleveland, OH and Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg, PA.

She was employed with Tops Supermarkets in Cleveland OH.  Agnes was a dedicated homemaker and mother.  She enjoyed baking, collecting antiques and spending time and working with her family at the Kolosky family homestead in (Cold Stream) RD Philipsburg.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kolosky was preceded in death by:  two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Kushner and Josephine Vavreck; an infant sister, Anne; and a brother, Joseph Vavreck.

Along with her husband, she is survived by:  two daughters, Anastasia Ting & her husband Adam of East Sandwich Massachusetts and Monica Flesher & her husband Timothy of Auburn, Ohio; two sons, Jerome Kolosky & his wife Cynthia of Medina, Ohio and Jeffrey Kolosky & his wife Charlene of Delaware, Ohio; four sisters, Barbara “Bert” Sedlak of Everson, PA, Marie Tarbay of RD Philipsburg, PA, Bernadette Johnson of Houtzdale, PA, and Sr. Barbara Ann Vavreck of Erie, PA; three brothers, Martin “Marty” Vavreck & his wife Joanne of Westerville, Ohio, Andrew “Andy” Vavreck & his wife Margaret of Lake Mary, FL, and Benedict “Ben” Vavreck & his wife Betty of Hawk Run, PA; thirteen grandchildren, Katherine, Kristine, Karen, Karissa, Sarah, Amanda, Aaron, Justin, Michael, Angela, Jennifer, Brandon, and Julianne; one great-granddaughter, Sadie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 10, 2012 at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg, PA, with Rev. Robert J. Kelly Celebrant.  Burial will be at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, RD Philipsburg, PA.

Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2012 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 East Spruce Street, Philipsburg, PA.

The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Agnes to the donor’s local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
