Leo W. Kalinosky

Leo W. Kalinosky, 78, of Kane and formerly of Philipsburg, Port Matilda and Kingston, (Pa.), died Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his residence.

Leo was born on December 27, 1943, in Kingston, a son of the late Leo P. and Margaret (Hronich) Kalinosky.

Leo served in the Army during the Vietnam War with the 1st Signal Brigade, attainingImage of the US Army Seal the rank of Specialist First Class.

During his working career, he was employed as a Field Service Engineer for HRB, Digital Equipment Corporation and Penn State Applied Research Lab, until his retirement in 2008.

He was a member of the Philipsburg American Legion Post 437, the VFW and a Lifetime member of the NRA.

He was married on August 15, 2009, in Kane, to Shirley Ferry, who survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lynn Kalinosky; one son, James (Nicole) Kalinosky; one sister, Joan Grossman; two brothers, Joe (Michelle) Kalinosky and Anthony Kalinosky and his fiancee, Karen Nocilla; two cousins, Michael Kalinosky and Joseph
(Ellen) Kalinosky; two nieces, Jackie Kalinosky and Catherine (Jeff Kuchinka) Kalinosky; nephew, David (Andra) Grossman and their children, Tesla and Riley; a nephew, Zachery Kuchinka; a niece, Caitlin (Brian) Banks; a nephew, Colin (Kayla) Bessmer; a brother-in-law, Edwin Raub and
a sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Ned) Bessmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Johanna Kalinosky; his first wife, Marguerite (Raub) Kalinosky; a brother-in-law, William Grossman and several aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11 am, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with Rev. Dr. Kathleen Hopper, officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Philipsburg American Legion Honor Guard on Friday at 10:45 am at the funeral home.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Annunciation Cemetery, Pringle, Pa.
