BONITA JEAN “BONNIE” HUSTED

Bonita Jean (Ritchey) Husted, 74, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on July 20, 2018.

Bonnie was born in Blue Ball (West Decatur) on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1943 to B. Grace (Mills) and Ray Ritchey.

She enjoyed a close relationship with her siblings- Doris (Paul) Dunfee, Kenneth (Beverly) Ritchey, Joann (Harry) Fenton and Terri (Jeff) Haverly, and her many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie married Spencer Husted on August 20, 1962 in Cumberland, Md.

Her life revolved around her daughters and their families- Shelby (Denny) Bloom, Angela (Jeremy) Cuthbert and Margo (Joel) Watson. She made every one of her 6 grandchildren- Trevor (Lindsey) & Todd (Jennie) Bloom, Megan (Lew) Millinder, Jenna (Brooks) McGuire, Mallory (Tyler) Good, Parker (Mikala) Watson and 7 great-grandchildren, Cooper, Amelia & Natalie Bloom, Kaleb & Madyson Stamm, Brooklyn McGuire and Luna Good feel loved & special. She took special pride in their accomplishments. They traveled, picnicked and gathered often. They shopped until they dropped.

Bonnie had an incredible work ethic. She worked at Grant’s and McCrory’s on Front Street in Philipsburg. In 1979 she began her “life” with Sheetz. She made many friends throughout her 32 year career and took great pride in her many accomplishments. She loved her job.

Bonnie loved to plan, organize & celebrate. She always focused on the good things in life. People gravitated to her fun, warm, upbeat personality. Bonnie, her family and close friends, especially Sandy & Jack Lynch, have so many funny, loving & special memories. She will be missed by all.

Bonnie planned her final wish. A Celebration of Life open house will be held at her residence at 4595 Old Erie Pike in West Decatur on Tuesday, July 24, from 2-7pm. All family & friends are invited to come.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie’s memory to the animal rescue organization of the donor’s choice.
