Donald was born on June 23, 1929, in Grassflat, a son of Robert B. and Maude E. (Taylor) Holt, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was a retired mail carrier with 31 years of service with the US Postal Service in Philipsburg.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Philipsburg, The Order of United Commercial Travelers of America and had volunteered as a Cub Scout leader in Philipsburg for many years.

Don was married on January 24, 1959, in West Decatur, to the former Beverly A. Stonebraker, who preceded him in death on November 10, 2014.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Scott Holt, who died on March 26, 2018.

Don is survived by one daughter, Laurie Ann Holt, of Lansdale; and a number of extended family members.

The most important thing to Don were his wife and children. He was a devoted family man who loved nothing more than spending time with them. He enjoyed family vacations, dinners and taking his family fishing.

Don was also an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Pirates, Steelers and especially Penn State football. He also enjoyed having coffee with his buddies at McDonald’s.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.

The arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg.
