Joanne Herr

Joanne Herr, 85, of (North) Philipsburg, died September 26, 2020, at Mountain Laurel Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

Joanne was born on December 6, 1934, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Harry I. and Vera (Vaughn) Greenawalt.

Joanne was a graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. During her working career, she had been employed with the former General Cigar plant in (North) Philipsburg; and then with the former Piper Aircraft facility in Quehanna.

Joanne was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas W. Mays, who preceded her in death on November 12, 1971 and Lee A. Herr, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1977; two sons, Charles and Larry Jo Mays; four sisters: Lois Walters, Maxine Romine, Betty Stanton and Jean Leach; and one brother.

Joanne is survived by one son, Thomas A. Mays and his wife, Judy, of Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Philipsburg.
