Willis R. “Buck” Heeman

Willis R. “Buck” Heeman, 94, a resident at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield and formerly of Philipsburg, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the nursing center.

Mr. Heeman was born on May 30, 1921 in DuBois, a son of the late Curtis and Amanda (Brandon) Heeman.

He was a protestant by faith and had worked as a laborer during his working life.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Heeman was preceded in death by three sisters, Sadie, Louella, and Amanda Heeman; and a brother, Clarence Heeman. He was the last of his generation.

He is survived by a great-niece, Sandra M. Singer, of Philipsburg.

At Mr. Heeman’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
