Harold Dewey Heeman

Harold Dewey Heeman, 64, of Philipsburg, died Sunday, July 19, 2020, at his residence.

Harold was born on June 6, 1956, in Philipsburg, a son of the late Harold D. Heeman and Jean (Greenawalt) Jones Heeman Leach.

He was a graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School.

He was employed with a few businesses throughout his working career. He was first employed with the former Piper Cub, in Quehanna. He spent most of his working career with Corning ASAHI, in State College, until its closure. He then worked as a taxi driver while he was living in North Carolina. He had also been employed with Penn State University.

Harold was a social member of both the Moshannon Valley AMVETS, Post 159 and the Reliance Fire Co., Club 12, both of Philipsburg.

He is survived by two sisters, Kathy Droll, of Woodland and Phyllis Greene and her husband, Merle, of Bigler; one brother, Harry Jones and his wife, Roseann, of West Decatur; and numerous other extended family members.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 10:30 am, at Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills, with Pastor Donald Smith, officiating.
