Esther L. Haag

Esther L. Haag, 61, of (North) Philipsburg, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Penn Highlands, DuBois.

Esther was born on November 29, 1959, in Indiana, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles L. Hazel, Sr., and Elzina L. (Bennett) Hazel, who survives of Sandy Ridge.

Esther was a 1977 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School. Prior to her illness, she was employed as a housekeeper with Nittany Budget Motel, State College.

Esther was married in August 1993, to David S. Haag, who survives at home.

She is also survived by a stepdaughter, Jennifer Haag and a stepson, David L. Haag; four sisters: Charlene L. Twoey and her husband, James, of Philipsburg, Darlene L. Leamer and her husband, Daniel, of Commodore, (Pa.), Karen L. Carter and her companion, Timothy Sherry, of Julian and Deborah L. Wisor and her companion, Timothy Graham, of Mineral Springs; two brothers, Charles L. “Chuckie” Hazel, Jr., and his wife, Cindy, of Houtzdale and Paul L. Hazel, of RD Philipsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Esther was preceded in death by her father; two daughters, Crystal L. Dailey and Daisey Lynn Haag; one sister, Elzina L. Hazel; and one brother-in-law, Paul A. Wisor.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Greenville Cemetery, Grampian.
