I will always remember our visits when my family was in Philipsburg. Aunt Dorothy would usually be preparing a meal that she would share with me and my mother (who loved to eat and enjoyed every mouthful).
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I’m the grandson of Don Bainey, Dorothy’s son. Every year I would come on a fishing trip with my grandfather and we’d always make a stop by to see Dorothy. She was always warm and inviting and never failed to amaze me how much energy and enthusiasm she had for a woman over 90. The memory that sticks in my head and I always tell is a time my grandfather and I had stopped by maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Dorothy had made some dish for us to eat and was very adament that we not forget it. Well after a couple hours of visiting and talking we went to leave and of course, we had forgotten the dish. We made it a little down the block before Dorothy came running, literally, through the front doors and down the stairs to make sure we had not forgotten our food. It was the first, only and probably last time I will ever see a person well over 90 move so quickly! From my few visits I could tell Dorothy was a very nice, caring, positive and upbeat person. She will be missed by many.

In loving memory of my Grandma Dorothy. Always willing to share a family story with you or one of her childhood memories. Stories I will treasure. Until we see each other again….we will miss you. RIP.
