It was an honor to know you Pappy. I wish I could be there, but duty calls and I know this family understands that more than others. I love you all, and look forward to seeing you soon.

I was proud to call Jack my friend. He embodied everything we should all aspire to be. conversations with him were never dull and he taught me that service and sacrifice were the things that make a person who he is. God Bless you,my friend. You will be missed.

May God’s peace come upon you and remain with you always and forever! Jack was a great man and a veteran of WWII. We send our condolences and the Blessings of God that his passing might be an inspiring influence that would motivate many to fulfill their destinies and live lives of love of family, God, and community.

Shortly after becoming neighbors to the Fosters’, we were friends. Good friends. The entire family holds a special place in our hearts.
When Jack was home from the road, he had time for all. Our son, Perry, thought Jack was larger than life, and he was enamored with Jack’s Peerless truck. Jack got such a kick out of him. He always took time to put Perry in the cab and made him feel like he was on top of the world.
When our house burned down, Jack took time to help us. We were taken in to the Foster’s home; treated like family.
Jack always had a smile on his face and an relaxed countenance.
When pondering what to share here, Philippians 4:8 was impressed upon us. It reads: “Whatsoever things are true, Whatsoever things are honest, Whatsoever things are just, Whatsoever things are pure, Whatsoever things are lovely, Whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue; if there be any praise, think on these things.
Jack exercised those instructions. Everybody should have a Jack and Mary in their life.
