Rev. R. Wayne Focht – Guestbook Entries

Helen McBride

So Sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. He was a wonderful man and always dedicated to the Lord. I am glad to have known him.

Estelle Veliky Bowman

It saddens my heart to hear of Rev. Focht’s passing. It was through him and his wonderful wife that I was able to learn about our glorious God. They provided me with wonderful memories through church such as Vacation Bible School, Church camp, the many activities they organized for us children, and all the church services every week. I never missed a service, I lived right across the street, but it was mostly because I learned so much and was fascinated by the sermons he preached weekly. He is going to be missed dearly. My prayers and condolences go out to the entire family during this time.

So sorry for your loss, but I’m sure there was a great party in Heaven Thursday evening.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Pastor Wayne Focht. He was a friend and colleague in ministry. I remember fondly competing against him in softball. I also enjoyed his radio broadcast. He had a love for the Word of God and a compassionate for the lost. It was for those reasons that I confidently asked him to fill my pulpit while I was on vacation. May God comfort you hearts during this difficult time.

One of the greatest speakers I’ve ever heard and a great minister I will never forget all of you very competitive softball games between New Life Center and Summit Hill In the 80’s

Ellen Hull

All of your are in my thoughts and prayers. The New Life Center “old timers” are a special group of folks who are rejoicing in reunion in Heaven! Pastor Focht and my beloved grandmother, Ellen Kephart (DOD 4/23/2020) are among those special folks!
May your family love and memories bring you comfort.
Love to all, Ellen

I just read Pastor Focht’s going home to glory on the Clearfield Progress website. My thoughts and prayers go out to Marilyn, her children Wayne, Laurie, Dr Glenn and Sherri and the grandchildren.

I do remember the competitive Moshannon Valley Church Softball League games that were played between the New Life Center and my team, the Osceola Mills C & MA Church. Boy, what great games that were played! Yet before and after each game, we would pray not only for each other and for our safety, but also that we gave God the glory for the ability to play the games for him.

Pastor Focht married Cherie Myers and me on 08/30/1980; I would remember the kind words of prayers and encouragement he gave to my son Michael and me when he attended Cherie’s funeral on 02/15/2007. The last time Mike and I met Pastor Focht and Marilyn was when he attended the funeral of Cherie’s grandmother, Bertha Molleca in October of 2015.

Although his time on earth has ended, he is now enjoying the glories of heaven with Jesus Christ, the Savior and Lord of the earth. One day, we will be united with our loved ones whether we go to heaven or when Jesus Christ returns to Earth to reign
as the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Pastor Focht was a great man.

Kim (Culp) Verbeck

Sending my condolences to the Focht family. I went to school with Sherry (way back in the North Lincoln Hill Elementary years!) I was in a nasty car crash 1 month after I graduated High School…I remember Rev. Focht coming to my bedside at the hospital numerous times to pray…his soothing voice was such a comfort to me!

Walt & Ruth Myers

God has called His servant home. No more suffering. We’re sad, but we’re rejoicing. The Focht family is in our prayers.

John and Beverly Butler

May God surround you all with HIS peace and comfort during this time. He was a good man and will be missed by many.

The loss of a loved one is never easy. you want life to go on forever but that’s not God’s plan. We are here for a short time and we try to make a positive impact on this world. That said it is clear what a tremendous impact Rev Focht had on so many people. It was a pleasure to know him. Greatness is not always measured by big achievements but by lots of small one. He certainly proved that to be true.
I pray that the family hold dear the precious memories over the years and that helps lessen the heaviness in all of your hearts.
So sorry for your loss I will keep you in my thought and prayers.

I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the entire Focht family. Reverend Focht was a man of the highest integrity, kindness, morality, and understanding. He touched countless lives in truly meaningful ways.

I have many wonderful memories of him — everything from summer trips in Lake Spofford, NH to watching PSU football games in the basement to those (rather dangerous) roller-skating parties in Clearfield.

He served as a true role model to so many and exemplified “a life well lived.” May he rest in peace.

Marilyn, Glenn, Sherry and family,

I learned so much of what it meant to be a Christian from this man and his family. No matter where I have been in life, there has only been one “Pastor” and that was Pastor Focht. He will be missed and remembered

Lee & Beverly Hertlein

We want to express our condolences to Mrs. Focht and the four children and their families. Pastor will be so missed by them and so many others who had the privilege of sitting under his ministry. Our family has had great respect for this Man of God for many years and witnessed the impact he had on so many lives through his ministry. We feel blessed to have known him and we know he is now experiencing all the JOYS of being with his Savior and Lord. “Well done good and faithful servant”

I always enjoyed my conversations with Wayne . My thoughts and prayers are with you…

Scott and Jennifer Sharpless

My thoughts and prayers for the family. I know Pastor Focht is still sharing the gospel and learning from his savior every day. I have fond memories of him and his wife from many softball games and producing his radio shows for many years. I also remember him as my bus driver in junior high. He was a man who walked with the Lord and led many others to accept Jesus. Until we meet again how about just a little “bingle” .

Tim and Debby Richmond

He finished his journey faithful and stayed the course. He accomplished so much for Christ in his lifetime. He was always busy about God’s work but always had time for anyone he could help. He was a great caring pastor that touched so many lives for the Kingdom of God. We appreciate his legacy!

Faith Hamilton Steury

Pastor Focht had a strong godly presence and a kind demeanor. I remember listening to his sermon as a small child and understanding his message because of how well he explained things. He strongly influenced our family in our faith. Thoughts and prayers for the Focht family.

Michael Sobol

What an AWESOME Man of God was Pastor Focht! He served our Lord and Savior in so MANY ways encouraging believers in their faith and also leading many to a saving faith in Jesus Christ!

I know he is enjoying the many blessings of his fruit in our Lord’s presence casting his crowns before our Lord Jesus!

The Focht family was so blessed to have him as a Father and his wife as her husband!
