Jeffrey L. “Hot Dog” Fetcenko

Jeffrey L. “Hot Dog” Fetcenko, 59, of Hawk Run, died Monday, October 16, 2023, at Cedarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Tyrone.

Jeffrey was born on March 27, 1964, in (North) Philipsburg, a son of the late Alfred J. “Duke” and Betty J. “Sis” (Lockey) Fetcenko.

He was a 1982 graduate of the West Branch Area High School and the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center.

Early in his working career, he was employed as a mechanic for the former Harpster Chevrolet in Philipsburg. He was then employed as a bus driver for Fullington Trailways until he had to take an early retirement due to his health.

Jeffrey was a former member of the Lincoln Club in Hawk Run; and a former member and bartender of the Slovak Club in Osceola Mills. Prior to his disability, Jeffrey loved to fish and shoot pool in his spare time.

Jeffrey is survived by one sister, JoAnne M. Whitehead and her husband, Bill, of Hawk Run; and numerous other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan M. Fetcenko, in addition to his parents.

A funeral service will be held at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 1:30 pm, with Fr. Paul Bigelow, officiating.

The visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 11 am until the time of the service.

Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his wonderful care aides at Cedarwood who provided an exceptional level of comfort to Jeffrey during this difficult time.
