George Fetcenko, III

George Fetcenko, III, 68, of (Allport) RD Morrisdale, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at his residence.

George was born on January 22, 1950, in Philipsburg, a son of George N. Fetcenko, Jr. and Laverne E. (Berkley) Fetcenko, both of whom preceded him in death.

He graduated from Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School in 1968. Following high school he served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War era.

During his working career, he had been employed as a bricklayer, operated his own tri-axle dump truck and worked as a H. E. mechanic for Penn State University. He took an early retirement to fully enjoy his love of hunting, fishing and classic cars.

George was married on November 12, 1976, in Philipsburg, to the former Joann V. Tekely, who survives at home.

There will be no public visitation or service. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
