Mary K. Eiler

Mary K. Eiler, 80, of Philipsburg passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born, March 28, 1943 in Renovo, Clinton County, she was the daughter of the late Richard P. and Ruth V. Schenck Carl.

Mary was a 1961 graduate of Bucktail Area High School and a 1965 graduate of Mansfield University.

On June 10, 1966 she married Ron Eiler, who resides at home.

Mary began her career at Lewistown High School as a Home Economics teacher. She continued her teaching career for the next 30 years at West Branch High School until her retirement in 1999.

Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mammy, sister and friend. She enjoyed reading, baking and decorating her home. She took great pride in landscaping her home with beautiful flowers. She enjoyed attending church at the United Methodist Church in Osceola Mills.  Mary was thoughtful and caring and she always made sure you knew she was thinking of you. She cherished spending time with her family and was so proud of her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Ron, she is survived by three children, Brent (Melissa) Eiler of Salisbury, Md., Tim (Rachel) Eiler of Beech Creek, and Lisa (Doug) Lingle of Philipsburg. Mary was proudly known as Mammy to her five grandchildren, Katie, Zach, Zach, Aubrey and Annie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Carl.

There will be a private celebration of life held at the convenience of her family.

Memorial Contributions in Mary’s memory and to honor her beloved Dog, Champ, can be made to the Clearfield County SPCA, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
