Kathy L. Droll

Kathy L. (Jones) Droll, 69, of Woodland, died Sunday, May 23, 2021, surrounded by her loving daughter, son-in-law, grand-daughters, great -granddaughters and sister.

Kathy was born on January 28, 1952, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Harold D. Heeman, Sr. and Jean (Greenawalt) Jones Heeman Leach.

She attended the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. She was employed throughout her working career as a CNA / care nurse with several area long term care facilities. She was most recently employed with Mountain Laurel Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, prior to her retirement.

She attended the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Woodland; where she had previously served as a Sunday School teacher.

Kathy was married on February 3, 1968, in West Decatur, to William E. Droll, Jr., who preceded her in death on January 25, 2011.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Dewey Heeman; her mother-in-law, Edna Droll; and father-in-law, William Droll, in addition to her parents and husband.

She is survived by a daughter, Tracie A. Hockenberry and her husband, George, of Woodland; two sons, Bill E. Droll and his wife, Melissa, of Ramey and Jeffery A. Droll and his fiancée, Effie Marty, of Brisbin; eight grandchildren: Ashlee Knepp, Ronna Knepp, A.J. Johnson, Amber Hockenberry, Zachery Droll, Brandon Droll, Jaret Droll and Cheyanne Droll; six great-grandchildren: Jailynne Welder, Natalie Welder, Mea Welder, Paisley Droll, Brayden Droll and Connor Nickols; a sister, Phyllis Greene and her husband, Merle, of Bigler; a brother, Harry Jones and his wife, Roseann, of West Decatur; and a sister-in-law, Shelia Dean and her husband, Jody, of Philipsburg; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held at the convenience of the family officiated by Pastor Dennis Reedy.

Interment took place in Bigler Cemetery.
