Jill was a 1980 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School.

Early in her career, Jill was employed as a wrapper with the former (North) Philipsburg General Cigar plant. She then accepted a housekeeping position at the former Presbyterian Home in Philipsburg until it closed. She then moved to the current Windy Hill Village facility in (North) Philipsburg.

Jill was married on September 19, 1981, in Morrisdale, to Chris E. Dilts, who survives at home.

She is also survived by a daughter, Ashley C. Wales and her husband, Tyler, of Horseheads, New York; a son, Justin T. “JT” Dilts and his companion, Miranda Simpson, of Hawk Run; three grandchildren: Jacob, Claire and Chloe Wales, all of Horseheads, NY; a sister, Kim Gonder and her husband, Jeff, of Philipsburg; two brothers, Thomas M. Holt and his wife, Brenda, of Morrisdale and James M. Holt, of Philipsburg; Jill’s father and mother-in-law, Lewis and Leona (Dias) Maney, of Philipsburg; and numerous other extended family members.

Jill loved spending time with her family and traveling with Chris.  She was a animal lover and her dogs held a special place in her heart.  She was so proud to be a grandmother to her two twin granddaughters and her grandson Jacob who shared her birthday.  Jill was a special person with a gentle soul, even in her battle with cancer she would manage a smile and she fought with courage and grace.
