Dr. Deliman was an inspiration to his students at POAHS, especially me. He made learning fun and pushed us all to be the best that we could be. He taught that Science was the future and we should always be searching for knowledge. He worked with us on science projects and helped us excel. He will be missed.

Dear Deliman family,
Mr. Deliman was my high school chemistry teacher. I loved him! He was the best teacher I ever had. Because of Mr. Deliman, I have degrees in biology and chemistry and a Master’s degree in Biophysics. Of all the teachers I ever had, Mr. Deliman was superior to any of the other teachers or professors. He taught us chemistry. He encouraged science projects and Science Fairs, where P.O. won many awards. He gave of his free time to help us work on our projects. Mr. Deliman was always kind and fair. He taught me to love science. When I went to undergraduate school, the chairman of the Chemistry Department asked to speak to me. He asked where had I gone to high school? He said that he could not believe how much chemistry I already knew coming from high school. I told him that I had the very best chemistry teacher, ever.
Please accept my deepest sympathy and my love. I thank God for Mr. John Deliman and the great positive affect he had on my life, I will never forget him.

I have fond memories of Mr Deliman taking time to entertain my brothers, sister and me by taking all of us on snowmobile rides through the neighborhood and down the cliff to the railroad tracks. May you find comfort in your memories.
