Stephina I. Danko
Stephina I. Danko, 86, of Hawk Run, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Michael & Anna (Coval) Pollock, born on June 27, 1926 in Philipsburg, PA. She married Frank A. Danko on September 30, 1950 at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hawk Run, PA. He survives her at home.
Mrs. Danko was a member of the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hawk Run, PA and was a member of the church alter and rosary society. She was also a member of the Jednota Lodge.
She was a homemaker and mother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Danko was preceded in death by: an infant son, Jerome; four sisters, Margaret Pollock, Josephine Hanslovan, Matilda Patkalitsky, and Hermena Belko; two brothers, John and George Pollock; and a son-in-law, Brian Ward.
Along with her husband, she is survived by: a daughter, Brenda A. Ward of Hawk Run, PA; a son, Bernard J. Danko & his wife Shirley of Duncannon, PA; a sister, Helen Bordas of Philipsburg, PA; and a brother, Lewis Pollock & his wife Anne of Munhall, PA.
She is also survived by: eight grandchildren, Jeremy Danko & his wife Amy of Reading, PA, Michael Danko & his wife Jennifer of Glen Burnie, MD, Kenneth Danko & his wife Jennifer of Newport, PA, Melissa Lusk & her husband Joshua of King of Prussia, PA, and Samantha, Jason, Thomas & Allison Ward, all of Hawk Run, PA; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hawk Run, PA with Rev. Robert J. Horgas, celebrant. Burial will be at the Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Hawk Run, PA.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg, PA.
The rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
