Hazel Marie Culp

Hazel Marie Culp, 92, of Philipsburg, died Monday, September 5, 2022, at Windy Hill Village, PSL, Philipsburg.

Hazel was born on July 7, 1930, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County, Pa., a daughter of the late Clifford C. Dillon, Sr. and Helen M. (Shoffner) Dillon.

During her working career, she was employed at General Cigar Plant formerly located in (North) Philipsburg and was also employed at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park Campus.

Hazel was married to Floyd C. Wisor in 1947; he preceded her in death on December 24, 1982.

She then married Lawrence “Larry” Culp on April 28, 1986, in Winchester, Va. Larry preceded her in death on September 10, 2007.

She was also preceded in death by a son and his wife, Dennis C.  and Karen Wisor; two sisters, Lillian Dixon and Helen Dillon; and three brothers: Robert Dillon, Kenneth Dillon and Clifford C. Dillon, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol J. Smith and her husband, Robert, of Morrisdale and Jodi M. Johnson; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild (with “one on the way”); one sister, Kathy Brown of (Gearhartville) RD Philipsburg; and numerous other extended family members.

Among her favorite pastimes, Hazel enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
