Joel T. Cowher

Joel & Shirley Jacobson

Well, we have shared many good memories my friend. We were always connected somehow. From playing football next to the Episcopal church on Presqueisle St., hanging out with you & your famous Studebaker, JV basketball together, jr. high summer band, Blue band & dance band, of course being in our wedding & just being friends. I wish we could have spent some time together in our later years. May God rest your soul my treasured friend….. Goodbye.

We were in classes since elementary, junior and senior high school. We were very interested in music. Joel and I both were in the band and dance band. The field trips to the football games were the greatest. In the winter months we ice skated. We would form teams and see who could send that puck through the net. He is the best of friends. He will be very missed. I will continue to pray for him and his family. May God Bless His Family…A Friend Always…Henry Bock…

I only got to know Joel for a little bit over a year and in that short span he became the father I never had. Never have I met a more compassionate, independent and simply brilliant man. Always willing to help anyone in need specially with car stuff. I will never forget the day he offered me money in exchange for a fishing lesson at Kyle lake which of course I gave him for free. Silly moments like teaching an avid outdoorsman how to use a type of lure he’s never used showed that even later in life he was always up for learning new things. Thank you so much for the memories Joel, you will always be here in my heart.

One of my favorite teachers (Dr.’s Ed.)! I still remember many of the things he said in class, 50 years later! Seems like yesterday! Love and hugs……

I will always remember him as Mr. Cowher. He taught me to drive over 50 years ago. I still remember and practice many of the things he taught me. He was a great man!

I was heartbroken to hear this. To a Friend I could never replace in a lifetime. We had so many good times fishing and working up in your garage. You would help me whenever I needed it and I tried to do the same. I will always look back at the memories with you and smile. I will miss my friend. From your peckerwood…….
