Gloria “Joyce” Conklin

Gloria “Joyce” Conklin, 71, of West Decatur, died Monday, February 1, 2021, at her residence.

Joyce was born on February 19, 1949, in Sanborn, a daughter of the late Clair A. and Bessie L. ( Merritt) Hallman.

She was a 1967 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School. She was employed throughout her working career as a C.N.A. with several area nursing homes; including Mountain Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center and the Colonial Courtyard, both of Clearfield; and Windy Village, PSL, of Philipsburg.

Joyce was married on June 10, 1972, to Clarence D. “Boots” Conklin, who survives at home.

Joyce is also survived by one daughter, Kathryn M. Treaster and her husband, Mark, of Harrisburg; a son, Dennis C. Conklin and his wife, Melinda, of Munson; four grandchildren: Zaccery Conklin, Ashley Kline, Kassie Conklin and Kyler Conklin; five great-grandchildren: Peityn DeMoss, Riley Beish, Emma Jo Bowery, Isabella Welder and Carolyn Welder; one sister, Judy Pescovich and her husband, Andy, of Clarence; and numerous other extended family members.

Joyce was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Hallman and Isabelle Socash; and four brothers: Blake, David, Bill and Daniel Hallman, in addition to her parents.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Philipsburg.
