Shirley Ann Chrobak

Shirley Ann Chrobak, 84, of Schuyler, New York, and formerly of Philipsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at her home.

Shirley was born in Pittsburgh, on August 17, 1937, the daughter of the late Harry T. and Marie (Schneider) McGahan; and step daughter of Mary (Miller) McGahan.

Shirley was united in marriage with Rudolph Carl Chrobak, on July 14, 1956, in Etna, (Pa). Shirley and Rudolph moved to Philipsburg where they had two sons. They later moved to Utica, to be closer to their son Kevin and four grandchildren. She and Rudolph cherished the time they spent with them and attending all the sporting events all the way through their college experiences. They also enjoyed the many vacations spent at her favorite spot, Myrtle Beach. Shirley had battled a serious medical condition over the past few years and missed not having the ability to do the things she loved, especially cooking and hosting her family. Through all of her trials, she stayed tough to the end.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Rudolph; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin M. and Michelle (Armstrong) Chrobak of Clinton, NY; her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ryan Chrobak and his wife Meghan and their children, Braden and Kayleigh, all of Prospect, (Pa); Justin Chrobak of Sarasota, Fla., Brendan Chrobak and his wife Cynthia, of Westmoreland, NY and Jordan Chrobak of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Mary (McGahan) Geinzer of Bethel, (Pa); one brother, Thomas McGahan of East Palestine, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Terrence C. Chrobak; her siblings, Doris (McGahan) Cimino, Alice “Betty” (McGahan) Linzey, Harry McGahan, John “Jack” McGahan, Robert McGahan and Terrence McGahan.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from Noon until 2 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg.

A graveside service at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Tyrone Pike, Philipsburg, will be held following the visitation at 2:15 pm, with Deacon Jerome Nevling, officiating.
