Lois M. Blake
Lois M. Blake, 93, of Philipsburg, PA died on Sunday, Mary 25, 2014 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on April 25, 1921 in Tyrone, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Minnie (Magill) Morrissey. She married William W. “Toad” Blake on August 4, 1941 in Tyrone, PA; he preceded her in death on July 13, 1995.
Mrs. Blake was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Philipsburg. She loved cooking, gardening, volunteering in her church and spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and mother.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: an infant son, Robert Wilson Blake, a great-grandson, Patrick Rishel; four brothers and five sisters.
Mrs Blake is survived by: three daughters, Sandra Pinto & her fiance Don Cartwright of Houtzdale, PA, Joyce Christman & her husband Chuck of Lewistown, PA, and Margaret Sanders & her husband, Richard of Loganton, PA; two sons, William Blake of Geneseo, NY, and Don Blake & his wife Jill of Philipsburg, PA; a sister, Hannah Isenburg of Tyrone, PA; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg, PA; with Rev. Samuel G. Strohm officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
