Brett Michael Bamat

Brett Michael Bamat, 36, of RD Philipsburg, died Monday, October 30, 2017, in Morris Township, Clearfield County.

Born November 10, 1980, in State College, he was a son of William Bradley “Brad” Bamat, of State College and Patricia “Patty” L. (Couturiaux) Lynn, of RD Philipsburg.

Brett was a graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School. He was employed as a painter by trade. He previously served with the PA National Guard, Hyde. He loved hunting and fishing in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert E. Couturiaux and his paternal grandparents, William and Barbara Bamat.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, William Bamat and his wife, Sarah, of Philipsburg and Timothy “Tim” Bamat and his wife, Valerie, of Morrisdale; two nieces, Alaina Bamat, of Philipsburg and Allison Bamat, of Clearfield; one nephew, Easton Bamat, of Clearfield; and his maternal grandmother, Betsy Jane (Price) Couturiaux, of Philipsburg.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. Brenda K. Leigey, Officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, November 5, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and on Monday from 10am until the time of the service.
