Betty M. Aughenbaugh

Betty M. Aughenbaugh, 87, of Philipsburg, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Harrisburg, at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Alice Ostrofski.
Betty was born on July 13, 1934, in Lumber City, a daughter of the late Walter R. and Kathryn (Smith) McCracken.

Betty was a 1953 graduate of the Clearfield High School.

She was married on November 20, 1983, in Glen Richey, to John “Jack” L. Aughenbaugh, who preceded her in death on December 7, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Walter “Dean”, Donald and Fredric McCracken.

She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Lynne Schroeder, of Phoenix, Arizona; one son, Michael R. Ostrofski and his wife, Alice, of Harrisburg; four grandchildren: Jaclyn Reathaford, Elizabeth Henderson and her husband, Billy, Allyson Ostrofski and Baylee Lyons and her husband, Jamie; five great-grandchildren: Jeremiah, Adam, Devon, Billy, Jr. and Jack; one brother, Richard McCracken, of Lumber City; and numerous other extended family members.

Among her favorite pastimes, she loved baking, swimming and spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Noon, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. Timothy D. Richmond, officiating. A visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 10am until the time of the funeral service.

Interment will be in Styers Cemetery (Crown Crest Memorial Park), Hyde.
